Blackberry varieties

We breed blackberries (named after Scottish lakes or lochs) and have the number one variety in the world in Loch Ness. We recently launched Loch Tay which is attracting strong attention from growers around the world. A breeding programme is continuing and in future will incorporate new germplasm. The programme is aimed at developing thorn-free, early season types for the commercial and amateur markets. We have an unnamed pink flower selection that is generating interest for release to the amateur market. In addition to its attractive pink flower, the fruit quality is superior to Loch Tay.
